They have been learning God’s expectations for living as the Children of God, those family values, Both through God’s instructions and learning from their stubborn disobedience (remnants of their previous culture). They have been given the blueprints for the tabernacle (where God would dwell among them) because as we have learned, God wants to be among his people. Just so as one would have last minute preparations before a wedding event, Israel has a few things to finish before heading to the promise land. Exodus Chapters 33-40.
